The iPhone makers have decided to allow the availability of ad blocking apps to now be sold on the App Store, which will be allowing the users to experience an ad free surfing on the internet where all ads present on the browser will also be stopped and blocked. This latest update has been made to the newly update iOS 9, which has stirred up a feeling of fear among the companies that have been completely relying on business being carried out by the displaying of ads on the internet. Even though the giant has been receiving revenue from the ads as well, this step will still be taken by the firm. Recently, Apple Inc. has been making a lot of changes following their acquisitions in the similar category. The iPhone maker bought Beats and ever since it decided to launch a newer enhanced version of Apple Music. The company has been doing a lot of changes software and hardware wise just to provide its loyal customers with the best phone ever. However, with Apple Music, the young hip image of the company might be in jeopardy. The company started with the free trials of its music service will soon be coming to an end hence the users will have to be paid on a monthly or yearly basis to access it. Hence once free trials are over, it will be known whether Apple Music is worth a try or not. Quartz reported, “Apple Music has an advantage over competing services there because it’s pre-installed on iOS devices and mixes owned tracks with streamed music.” As of now, youth using Apple iPhones is not content or feel good about the new music service. Jackdaw Research which is a consumer technology research firm carried out a research which stated that mostly the old listeners will still be subscribing for Apple Music. The company used MicroHero’s surveys to collect information from 500 iPhone users regarding this. Young users of iPhone were more happy signing up for a free three month trial of this service but there are more old users looking forward to subscribing and carry on with Apple Music in the future. Around 62 percentage was under 35 are getting their subscriptions cancelled or already got it cancelled as the free trials approaches towards the end. Only 33 percent people aged 35 or older cancelled. Furthermore, it is believed that around 67 percent to 70 percent people aged 35 will be continuing with Apple Music and has paid for the subscriptions. According to Jan Dawson, who is a chief analyst at Jackdaw Research, stated “When you have more money and less time, you’re more likely to spend more to get exactly what you want”. It will be exciting to see how the company attract users to subscribe for its music service.

Apple Targets Indian Customers Through Its Stores

Novartis AG (ADR) To Come Up With Another Biosimilar



Novartis got approval for its second biosimilar drug with Amgen.

The company recently got its drug approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Enbrel, which is said to be one of the most popular cancer drugs from Amgen, has helped them gaining a stable position in the healthcare industry. However, now Novartis is all set to come up with a biosimilar, which is a replica of Enbrel. The company proudly announced on Friday that the FDA has granted a permit for the Sandoz’s regulatory filing for the drug. Biosimilars are considered as copycat drugs that have an origination from hefty priced biologics. Both the drug versions can certainly not be exact replicas since both will be using different living cells to develop the medicine. A difference was observed in the pricing of both the drugs, as Novartis retailed the drug at a dropped price of 15% from Amgen’s Neupoge. Despite a drop in price was observed but health insurers were not satisfied since they expected a 40% drop.

Google Inc Becomes An Alphabet Holding Subsidiary



Google Inc joins hands with Alphabet Holdings as a subsidiary; its shares will be transferred to the new company.

Google Inc. has officially confirmed that it is now a subsidiary of Alphabet Holding Company as per the trading session on Friday. The search engine giant has an active investor relations page through which the news was informed. Alphabet is said to start trading from October 5, FY15. The company will be responsible to disclose the financial results of firms under its umbrella. Google stocks will be trading under their old tickers GOOG and GOOGL on NASDAQ stock exchange. The stakeholders of the company are said to have the rights they had initially however the Class C stocks will now be traded as Class A stocks for Alphabet. The good news for the search engine tycoon is that a surge in the stock price of 2.5% was observed on Friday. Alphabet is keen about catering to GOOG along with the segments that fall under the company like Android, YouTube, and its Search Engine. Moreover, the firm also runs an advertising business, which will also become Alphabets subsidiary now. Mr. Larry Page is said to take up the position of Alphabet’s CEO, whereas Sergey Brin will take charge as president. This initiative will allow the search engine’s cofounders to work on new projects.
