Apple Makes Record Sales In India

Apple in India

Apple sales achieve their all time high in India

Apple Inc. has deciphered the reason behind the decline observed in the sales of the iPhone. There has been staggering economic growth in the Chinese market but the company has done quite well in the emerging market of India where they have succeeded in achieving record sales during the last trimester of FY15. Several policies that encompass a wider distribution network, discounts, installment packages have assisted the company in shipping 800,000 products in India which is an achievement in itself. Ironically, consumers are not quite interested in the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus due to the hefty price tag.

The catalyst churning growth for Apple products is the price reduction in the Indian market. Some of the devices by the tech giant that had low prices are now retailing at a 50% lesser rate than the original cost. Moreover, the price of the iPhobe 5S has been reduced to $350 to $360 which in return has bolstered sales. A buyback program was also initiated by the company in FY14 where Indian consumers were granted the leverage to exchange their old iPhones for new models.

Apple has also collaborated with various banks in India to offer interest free loans so that the cost of the iPhone becomes affordable for the masses.

The saturation in the smartphone fraternity has now become quite evident where Chinese manufacturers are pushing in competition by coming up with mid-range smartphones that are becoming an imminent threat to Apple iPhones. The stocks of the company have gone down by 30% over the past six months and are now residing below $100.  The tech market is quite flustered now and the pressure will get more due to the Chinese economic slowdown.

Considering this, the growth opportunity which India has to offer is extremely lucrative. As per the consensus made by analysts, almost 35% of all the phones retailed in the region are smartphones. a research was conducted by the International Data Corporation (IDC) suggested that by FY17 India will take over the position of the second largest smart phone market from United States and will stand right behind China.

Apple has been extremely successful in India which adds value to the claimsa. The year which climaxed by the end of March 31, 2015, the Indian wing resulted in revenues worth $1 billion. A 44% increase has also been observed in contrast to a year back. However by September, only 2% of the local smartphone fraternity was under the company’s control.

Apple iPad Pro Limited Orders will be Delivered This Season

Apple has placed an order for less than 2.5 million units for the Apple iPad Pro.

As per the reports issued by MacRumors, the tech behemoth Apple Inc. has placed only a limited quantity of orders for the latest iPad Pro. According to the sources that deal with the company’s supply chain related activities believes that the iPhone maker is now deploying a fairly conservative approach for the orders that will be delivered during the holiday season and the first few months in FY16. Moreover, the sources also claim that the company has placed an order for less than 2.5 million units for the Apple iPad Pro. So now what the company will actually do is wait and see the response of consumers to the product during the holiday season. If the response is positive, the company will churn in more orders and vice versa. At this point, in time all of the future prospects depend on the sales of this new Apple product. The reason why the tech giant has decided to minimize production is due to the company’s plans to cut the costs. Over the past six quarters, the sales of Apple tablets have been extremely stagnant with little or no room for growth. However with the launch of iPad Pro and iPad Mini 4 things are likely to get better for the company. The reason is that there are several tablets now available in the industry that offers similar features with diversions in pricing. This has actually caused resistance among buyers to update their device every year. But now it seems like the iPad Pro will churn in a better sales model since the tablet is priced smartly in comparison to its competitors. Considering the functionalities that the iPad Pro will offer, it is actually a treat for the creative fraternity including designers and animators. It has been estimated that the prices of competitors for a similar variant are extremely hefty. The company’s core rival as of yet is Microsoft Corporation’s Surface Pro 4 that is expected to give the company a tough time. However, many analysts at this point feel; that the price of the iPad Pro in comparison to Surface Pro 4 is actually better that can actually lure buyers to Apple. No matter what it is expected that the response by consumers to the Apple iPad Pro will actually be exceptional and might completely change the game for Apple again in the tablet industry. This initiative comes as no surprise as Apple is trying to redeem itself.

Apple Watch Will Be Available In Best Buy To Boost Sales

Apple Watch will be available in the Best Buy stores from August 7, which is expected to increase in sales for the company.

Apple Watch is expected to be launched on August 7, in collaboration with Best Buy Co. (NYSE:BBY). Around hundred Best Buy stores have recently been privileged to sell the giant’s new most-talked-about product in their stores, as well as in their e-commerce platform.

This is the first time in US that an outlet is getting an opportunity to sell Apple Watch officially. It is useful for consumers, as they can easily buy these items from nearby Best Buy outlets. At first, it was only available on company’s website through the online orders in April.

Apple Watch is a very well-constructed smartwatch that is ever seen. Like most of other smart watches, it is not just a separate device, but also a phone accessory. Android Wear, Samsung Gear, Pebble, and others work in similar way.

Initially, Best Buy will hold 16 Apple Watch models of sizes, 38mm and 42mm, along with accessories including the watchbands, but the retailers will not offer the ‘Apple Watch Edition’ because it is considered as the most luxurious item. Therefore, it is only limited to particular ‘Apple Store’ and high-end sellers.

Tim Cook, the CEO of Apple says, “We’re very confident because the Watch is one of the key, top gifts of holidays, and we wish to spread it as much as we can.” He further said that the sales of watch did exceed his expectations.

Analysts and some market experts estimated that initial sales of watch would be low. However, iPhone makers have not disclosed sales figure up till now. Senior Officer of Best Buy says, “Apple Watch will be a massive addition to all stores as well as our website. We are happy to pass Apple watch to more customers because we know consumers are waiting and they like it.”

The corporate giant has rejected to provide any real sales figures for the new product. It has already sold approximately 4 million watches up till now, various firms had calculated. Strategy Analytics states that the whole smartwatch industry – including Pebble, LG, and Motorola have sold around 4.6 million in the year 2014, and almost 5 million this year, before the Apple Watch’s entrance.

Currently, 19 countries have official permit to sell Apple Watches, also planning to dispatch in Russia, Turkey, and New Zealand as well. This might raise the bar for the competition and company itself. The company is attempting to take care of its product line.
